As a Director of Sales & Marketing for Holiday Inn Convention Center Great Falls, MT, you bring high-energy, customer-centric focus and drive/hunger to the total sales efforts of the hotel. In other words, you get paid to make relationships! The Director of Sales is accountable for managing budgeted room nights and revenue. This position is also responsible for strategic goals and tactical efforts which drive revenue to the hotel through inventory allocation and pricing parameters.   • Grow and maintain relationships with key clients to produce topline business, including room, food & beverage, and catering/banquet revenues
  • Strategize, implement, and accomplish quarterly sales plans
  • Work in partnership with Regional Sales, Revenue and Operation teams forecasting & budgeting revenue and expenses
  • Lead and partner with operational departments relating to all sales outcomes
  • Champion brand and company reputation, cultivating relationships with local community groups, companies, entertain and/or travel to events to generate business
  • Proactively conduct sales blitzes, outside sales, inside sales, and/or new conversations to spark new leads
  • Develop and manage effective business plans for assigned segment
  • Effectively maintain accounts to achieve business objectives
  • Identify and stay abreast of industry trends to provide leadership and education regarding the Leisure Segment
  • Work closely with Regional, Sales, Revenue and Operations teams to effectively communicate new trends and develop strategies to increase revenue
  • Responsible for management of customer decisions and the relationship process
  • Responsible for directing and leading activities through internal and external resources
  • Define and improve customer value proposition by assessing the competitive area as it relates to segment
  • Work closely with all levels of the organization to resolve complex issues or concerns, communicating in a clear concise manner
  • Comprehensive knowledge of market position, banquet and food and beverage revenues, pricing and rate structures, sales strategies, yield management, booking trends, and future hotel planning
  • Be fully knowledgeable of the capabilities and limitations of the hotel and departments that may impact sales & catering strategies
  • Implement sales policies and procedures as developed in the annual Marketing Plan
  • Establish priorities for all sales, catering and marketing programs and projects
  • Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual goals as established by the annual Marketing Plan
  • Participate in the preparation of the annual hotel budget
  • Proactively conduct outside sales calls conduct sales tours and entertain clients
  • Understand the content reflected in contracts and how to negotiate terms therein
  • Develop and maintain market awareness to ensure ability to predict revenue opportunities and set proactive strategies
  • Monitor production of all top accounts and evaluate trends within your market

Qualifications:

  • Experience with direct client relationships (B2B and/or B2C)
  • 5+ years hotel sales within major brands and/or 3+ years non-hotel, proven sales leadership experience
  • Ability to learn systems technology
  • Displays a magnitude of professionalism, being your best-self
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills a must
  • Systems Proficiency: Delphi FDC, and Hospitality (Brand) Systems, Amadeus, Opera PMS.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
